State social payments, pensions and salaries of state employees will grow from October 1, Regions Party MP and Chairman of the international economic policy subcommittee of the Verkhovna Rada committee on economic policy Oleksiy Plotnikov has said.

“From October 1 state social payments, pensions, and the salaries of state-paid employees will grow again. This is the fourth increasing of the social standards in Ukraine this year. A minimal pension from October 1 will total UAH 856, while the minimum salary will be UAH 1,118,” the MP said.

Plotnikov also said that a social standards hike is also foreseen for next year.

“All social standards will grow, moreover, their growth will exceed the predicted level of inflation,” he added.

As ZN.UA wrote, the living wage for people who have lost their working capacity from October 1 will rise by UAH 12, to UAH 856, and that is why minimum pensions were increased to this level.

From October 1 the minimum wage and living wage of citizens able to work are to rise to UAH 1,118 and UAH 1,060 respectively.
