Moscow - The Russian Investigative Committee has obtained evidence proving that the Ukrainian armed forces have used prohibited munitions against civilians in southeastern Ukraine, Investigative Committee spokesman Vladimir Markin said.

“Chemical forensic analysis has found that samples of soil passed to Russian investigators by refugees from Ukraine who witnessed the shelling of the community of Semenivka in the town of Sloviansk, Donetsk region, contained combustion products of the N-17 incendiary mixture used to fill mines and air bombs,” Markin told Interfax on Wednesday, Aug. 6.

In fact, “this is an improved and more deadly version of incendiary munitions that were earlier filled with white phosphorus,” he said.
