The first deputy head of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine and director of the state border guard department, Pavlo Shysholin, has said that state border of Ukraine is guarded today.
“The state border is guarded today, it is guarded along the perimeter, in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea as well,” he said a briefing on Wednesday.
According to Shysholin, all basic units of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine have served uninterruptedly on the state border.
“Today only at one border service unit, Kerch, are [border guards] serving under the guns of 60 soldiers of the Russian Federation, who are standing behind the backs, but fortunately are not hampering them in fulfilling their tasks yet,” he said.
