You're reading: Swedish politicians support Ukraine ahead of Dutch referendum

MP of the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction Iryna Friz has held a meeting with the delegation of the Kingdom of Sweden, where she with her counterparts discussed the counteractions to the hybrid war, as well as the regulation of the gender-related issues of the Ukrainian legislation.

“Today, Russian destructive information influence is growing in Europe. Particularly, it may be noticed on the formation of Ukraine’s negative image ahead of the referendum in the Netherlands. That is why I have appealed to the members of the [Swedish] delegation with a request to assist and to disseminate in the Netherlands an adequate and honest information about affairs of Ukraine with one goal – to prevent Kremlin from achieving its main objective – to stop our state on the European integration path, which we won during the Revolution of Dignity,” the party’s press service quoted Friz as saying.

As reported, the MP received from the Swedish delegates their assurances of the full support of Ukraine on the mentioned issue, as well as an offer to provide necessary materials, so that an event to support the Ukrainian position prior to the referendum in the Netherlands was organized in the Swedish parliament.

During the meeting, Friz also noted that Kremlin was using various information technologies to ruin Ukraine’s image in the EU.
