Sociological groups are deliberately understating the ratings of the Communist Party of Ukraine before the elections, party leader Petro Symonenko has said during a recording of a program on OTB Channel in Kharkiv.

According to the party’s press service, while commenting on a
statement by the host that most sociologists predict the party’s rating
in the 2012 elections at about 10%, Symonenko said that it had been
significantly understated.

“I respect sociology. But, unfortunately, most sociological groups are now working in somebody’s interests,” he said.

Symonenko said that sociologists were deliberately giving low ratings
to the Communist Party despite the fact that they are growing every
day. He also said that contrary to predictions, the Russian Communist
Party had received an impressive figure.
