Ukrainian Education and Science, Youth and Sports Minister Dmytro Tabachnyk has praised the appointment of Raisa Bohatyriova as vice premier and health minister of Ukraine and plans to discuss humanitarian issues with her soon.

"This is very positive," he said in Kyiv on Wednesday, when asked his opinion about the appointment of Bohatyriova. At the same time, the minister stressed that they had not discussed all important issues in the humanitarian sphere, as Bohatyriova was appointed on Tuesday in the evening.

"Usually ministers do not discuss business at night, that is why I have not had the chance to discuss anything with her at night," Tabachnyk said.

On Feb. 14 Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych dismissed Raisa Bohatyriova from the post of the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council. After that, Yanukovych appointed Bohatyriova to the posts of vice prime minister and minister of health of Ukraine.
