Ukraine's Minister of Education, Youth and Sports Dmytro Tabachnyk doesn't rule out his participation in the parliamentary elections scheduled for 2012.
"If the Party of Regions, whose board member I am, decides that I am to participate in the elections, naturally I will make every effort to get a parliamentary mandate, which will be fifth for me," the minister said in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.
At the same time, Tabachnyk said that since the final decision hadn’t been taken yet, he hadn’t given serious consideration to this issue. However, he is ready to return to the Ukrainian parliament.
"I think that basically the experience of parliamentary work gained during all the previous convocations will allow me to work actively and be useful in the legislature," he stressed.
