Google has backed down on a decision to change place names on its map of Crimea, in the latest skirmish over whether the Black Sea peninsula belongs to Ukraine or Russia. Cartographers were left with a tricky decision on how to deal with the Ukrainian region after it was annexed by the Kremlin in 2014.
