A two-day period of mourning has been declared in Rivne region for Jan. 21-22 for the victims of a road accident that occurred near the city of Rivne on Jan. 19, the press service of the regional state administration has reported.
At least Hr 10,000 will be allocated for the funeral of each victim. The medical treatment of those injured in the accident is being financed by medical institutions, and Hr 5,000 will be allocated from the budget for each injured person.
A Volkswagen minibus carrying 17 passengers collided with a Renault truck after 17.00 on Thursday, Jan. 19, near the village of Velyka Omeliana, not far from Rivne.
Eight people, including six children, who were injured in the accident, remained in hospital as of Friday morning
Seven people died at the scene, and two more died in hospital.
