Batkivshchyna Party leader Yulia Tymoshenko believes that administrative pressure on the media will increase as the next parliamentary elections approach, according to Official website of Tymoshenko.
”The further we go, the less freedom of speech there will be in Ukraine, and the closer we get to the next elections, the more they will turn central television channels into tools of the ruling party’s PR strategy,” Tymoshenko told the press today in Sumy.
According to Tymoshenko, opposition parties much change the way they work in order to ensure representation in parliament. ”The authorities shouldn`t even dream of the kind of opposition there is in other post-Soviet countries. We will have a strong opposition, we will put them in their place, and then we will remove them from power in a constitutional and peaceful way,” she added.
