Former Ukrainian Premier Yulia Tymoshenko has said she is ready to testify in the Russian gas supply contracts case, although she is sure that the lawsuit of prosecutor general's office against her was falsified.
"I am ready to testify," Tymoshenko said when asked by judge of Pechersky District Court of Kyiv Rodion Kireyev whether she was ready to testify at court on Monday.
"Of course I don’t refuse [to testify]," Tymoshenko said. She added that the lawsuit was "absurd."
"The case was falsified in haste," Tymoshenko said and added that her actions had never caused the state any losses.
She noted that the indictment contains "a lot of mistakes."
"I do not acknowledge the lawsuit, I think it was falsified. I think those who falsified this lawsuit are criminals," she said.
Tymoshenko one more time addressed Kireyev with a request to close the criminal case and "stop this farce."
