Leader of the Batkivschyna Party and former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko calls for Ukraine's accession to the European security and defense systems.
“Unification with the strong countries is the best protection for Ukraine in the modern world. Ukraine should become a full member of the EU within the shortest possible time and join the European security and defense systems,” Tymoshenko said at a congress of Batkivschyna in Kyiv on Saturday.
“If we don’t do that and face the aggressor alone, we will always be weak. We need to get integrated in the Western world’s defense alliances,” she said.
