Kyiv is ready to support any proposals from Europe on improving energy security, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has said.

“It’s no secret around the world that Ukraine’s energy dependence
influences the effectiveness of its economic development. We are ready
to support any proposals on the diversification of energy supplies to
Ukraine with the assistance of European countries,” SBU Deputy Head
Volodymyr Porodko said at a conference entitled “NATO and Partners: New
Security Challenges” in Kyiv on Thursday, Sept. 27.

According to the official, new energy saving technologies should be
introduced and the use of new renewable energy sources should be
studied.
