Donbas militants conducted 66 attacks on Ukrainian army positions in Donbas in the past 24 hours, the press center of the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO) headquarters has said in a report posted on Facebook.

Thirty shelling incidents were observed in the Donetsk sector. The town of Avdiyivka came under attack of 120mm and 82mm mortars, grenade launchers, large-caliber machine-guns, and small arms. Novoselivka Druha was bombarded by 120mm and 82mm mortars. Ukrainian army positions near Mayorsk, Verkhniotoretske, Opytne and Pisky were attacked by 82mm mortars, and grenade launchers, large-caliber machine-guns and small arms were used in Luhanske and Nevelske. Also, large-caliber machine-guns were fired near Troyitske, the report said.

The militants mounted 26 attacks on Ukrainian army positions in the Mariupol sector, it said. A stronghold in Maryinka was attacked by a group of ten saboteurs. The village of Shyrokyne, which is close to the Ukrainian-controlled strategic port city of Mariupol came under fire of 120mm mortars, 82mm mortars and grenade launchers were used in Krasnohorivka and Maryinka, large-caliber machine-guns were fired in Vodiane and Novohryhorivka, and an infantry combat vehicle was engaged near Talakivka.

Ten attacks on Ukrainian army positions were observed in the Luhansk region; Stanytsia Luhanska was shelled by 82mm mortars, grenade launchers and large-caliber machine-guns, small arms were used near Syze and chaotic gunfire was reported from Novozvanivka, Novo-Oleksandrivka and Popasna, the report said.
