The State Veterinary and Biosecurity Service of Ukraine has banned imports of products of Belarus' OJSC Babushkina Krynka and OJSC Dairy Products to Ukraine from January 21, 2013 and for OJSC Orsha dairy industrial complex from January 23, 2013.

According to the service’s report on Thursday, the measures were
taken as the products of the said companies are not line with Ukrainian
safety requirements in the microbiological and physical-chemical
indicators.

The service did not disclose the concrete parameters that were not observed.

The service said that cargo arrived to Ukraine before the ban is to be registered after the enhanced veterinary control.

“The temporary restrictions could be canceled when Belarus take
proper measures and check the said companies,” reads the press release.

As reported, Ukraine banned imports of dairy products from Belarus in
March 2012 as the large amount of antibiotics was revealed.
