You're reading: Ukraine ups beer imports by 7.7%, cuts exports by 2.4% in two months of 2013

Ukraine in January-February 2013 imported 520,000 decaliters (dal) of beer, which is 7.7% up on the same period of 2011.

According to the State Customs Service, in monetary terms beer imports over the two months grew by 20.5%, to $4.300 million, up from $3.57 million in January-February last year.

Beer exports from the country over the two months of 2013 amounted to 3.2 million dal, which is 2.4% less than in January-February 2011. In monetary terms the figure decreased by 7.2%, to $9.9 million.

As reported, with reference to data from the State Customs Service, beer exports from Ukraine in 2012 increased by 12.7% compared to 2011, to 31.5 million dal, imports – by 9.2%, to 5 million dal.
