Ukrainian Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk has said that Acting Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of Ukraine Serhiy Kurykin and the management of the state enterprise Ukrainian Environmental Investments will be dismissed for their involvement in the fraudulent tender involving the funds provided under the Kyoto Protocol, their case will be transferred to the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine.

“According to the results of the investigation, firstly, I am asking the
government to decide on the dismissal of Acting Minister of Ecology and
Natural Resources of Ukraine [Serhiy Kurykin]. Secondly, the dismissal
of the officials named in the act. Thirdly, the dismissal of the head of
the state-owned enterprise [Ukrainian Environmental Investments],” he
said at a government meeting on Jan. 27 after the announcement of the
results of an official investigation into the alleged embezzlement of Hr 550 million of funds under the Kyoto Protocol.
