This was the result of the consultations of the Ukrainian delegation comprising Finance Minister Fedir Yaroshenko and Energy and Coal Industry Minister Yuriy Boiko with Acting Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) John Lipsky in Washington on Friday.

During the talks the parties discussed the current condition of the Ukrainian economy. In particular, Lipsky pointed out the importance of holding reforms in Ukraine to achieve the goals set in the frames of a program of cooperation with the IMF, dealing with the new challenges and creating a solid foundation for sustainable economic growth.

The IMF head noted the progress of the talks on the implementation the obligations taken by Ukraine’s Government, the press service said.
