ODESA - The Ukrainian anti-aircraft missile troops stationed in the Odesa and Kherson regions will be significantly reinforced with S-300PS surface-to-air missile (SAM) systems that will be redeployed from central Ukraine, said a spokesperson for the "South" air force command.
“South” Commander Pavlo Zuyev said: “In our command, everything is ready to take in personnel, equipment and weapon reinforcements. This will enable the ‘South’ to execute more efficiently the mission of protecting our airspace against threats in the south.”
The S-300PS SAM system (NATO classification: SA-10B Grumble) is designed to protect critical administrative, industrial and military assets against all kinds of airstrikes.
