Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin has said that two Ukrainian doctors who were kidnapped in Libya in September 2014 have been released from captivity.

“Two Ukrainian doctors who were abducted in Libya in September have been released with great efforts. They are already in a safe place,” he wrote on his Twitter page on Nov. 7.

According to media reports, the doctors – a married couple – were kidnapped nearby Benghazi on Sept. 18.
