The Ukrainian Justice Ministry has no information about the presence of other servicemen, who are Russian citizens, in the country, Justice Minister Pavlo Petrenko said.

“The Justice Ministry does not have any information about Russian servicemen. We have not received any documents and requests from the Russian side,” Petrenko told reporters in Kyiv on May 30.

He said that the Ukrainian side could receive such requests only if a court verdict takes effect and there was a relevant initiative from a convict, relatives or lawyers to hand him over under the Convention on the Transfer of Sentenced Persons.

“Only in this case the Justice Ministry gets involved in the process to transfer one or another citizen to another state. We do not have such information as yet,” Petrenko said.

Previously, the lawyer of Ukrainian pilot Nadia Savchenko exchanged for Russians Alexander Alexandrov and Yevgeny Yerofeyev, Mark Feygin, said that there in Ukraine had been ten Russian citizens, who could be swapped for the Ukrainians imprisoned in Russia.
