Sevastopol - The Ukrainian naval sailors are leaving the territory of the Ukrainian Navy headquarters under the control of activists from the Sevastopol self-defense forces. 

The Ukrainian military form small groups and leave the territory of the headquarters, accompanied by self-defense activists, an Interfax-AVN correspondent has reported.

A representative of the self-defense headquarters said the Ukrainian naval officers are being accompanied to defend them from possible provocations.

The majority of the buildings of the Ukrainian Navy headquarters are controlled by Sevastopol residents.

The administration of the headquarters of the Ukrainian Navy currently remains in one of the buildings.

A rally continues on the territory of the headquarters. The protesters call on the Ukrainian troops to join the city residents or leave Sevastopol and Crimea.

According to earlier reports, Vice-Admiral Alexander Vitko, commander of the Russian Black Sea fleet, has left the headquarters of the Ukrainian Navy after negotiations with Rear Admiral Serhiy Haiduk, commander of the Ukrainian Navy.
