A Su-25 aircraft involved in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) in eastern Ukraine was shot down in Luhansk region on Aug.20, National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) spokesman Andriy Lysenko has said.
“A Su-25 aircraft was really hit today during a combat mission. It
crashed. The fate of the pilot is not known yet, but there is hope that
everything will be fine with him,” he said on the 112 Ukraina television
channel on Aug.20 evening.
