You're reading: Ukrainians ‘tired of war, corruption’

Following recent declaring of resignation of Economic Development and Trade Minister of Ukraine Aivaras Abromavicius, Lithuanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Linas Linkevicius said that insufficient measures had been applied to root out corruption in the country.

The foreign chief said he hopes Abromavicius’ dropping of the Cabinet “will make to think of radical lustration not in words, but in deeds.”

In an interview with Ziniu radijas radio station on Tuesday, Linkevicius said that people actually got tired of war and corruption, tools to liquidate which proved to be used insufficiently.

According to him, a present tension in the Ukrainian government “evokes anxiety of everybody, who hopes for efficient reforms in Ukraine.”

According to Linkevicius, a crash of the government will favor increasing of instability in the worsened lately situation in the security sector.
