PJSC Ukrtelecom, its Crimean and Sevastopol branches continue to provide telecommunications services in Crimea, the press service of the company has told Interfax-Ukraine.

“Despite the absence of specific legal regulations of the work of
Ukrainian companies on the territory of Crimea, PJSC Ukrtelecom will
continue to provide uninterrupted communications in Crimea as long as
the circumstances, the technical and operational capabilities of the
company allow,” the press service said.

However, according to its information, the lack of opportunity to
exercise the full operational maintenance of communications facilities,
make any payments on the peninsula in accordance with Ukrainian
legislation, the growing social tension among the users of
telecommunications services of the Crimean and Sevastopol branches, make
Ukrtelecom to seek solutions and consider all possible legal ways to
save connection in Crimea and protect the assets of PJSC Ukrtelecom.

Ukrtelecom is the largest fixed communications operator in Ukraine.
It promotes mobile communications of the UMTS (3G) standard, having the
only license in the country.
