You're reading: UN Development Program receives Hr 620 million from health ministry for procurement

The UN Development Program (UNDP) has received Hr 620 million from the Health Ministry of Ukraine for medicine procurement using budget funds, the ministry has told Interfax-Ukraine, referring to Deputy Health Minister Ihor Perehynets.

“UNDP has confirmed it received funds from the Health Ministry for procurement – Hr 620.07 million.

As reported, Ukraine’s Health Minister Alexander Kvitashvili signed an agreement with the UNDP on the supply of medicines worth Hr 620 million on Oct. 27. Under the agreement, Ukraine will be supplied with drugs under state programs, particularly drugs to treat and diagnose tuberculosis, HIV-AIDS, hemophilia, and hepatitis B and C.

In general, international organizations will receive Hr 2.197 billion for procurement.
