The United Nations Office in Ukraine will promote healthy lifestyles among Ukrainians with the assistance of outdoor social advertisements.

The information campaign, in which over 2,000 posters will be placed on billboards, will be held across Ukraine in 2013. City lights and billboards calling for a healthy lifestyle will appear in 30 cities.

UN Resident Coordinator and UNICEF Representative in Ukraine Yukie Mokuo said at a press conference in Kyiv on Tuesday that the outdoor campaign is aimed at raising the awareness of the general public in five thematic areas: environment and ecology (a healthy planet), healthy aging, vaccination, the consumption of fruits and vegetables, and reproductive health. Also, in the frame of the information campaign, the issue of the early testing for HIV/AIDS will be highlighted.

The campaign is a joint project of the UN Office in Ukraine, the World Health Organization (WHO), the United Nations Population Fund, and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP).
