MOSCOW - The delegation of French parliamentarians that will go to Crimea on July 29 will look into the issues of Crimean Tatars and prisoners located in the territory of the peninsula, Thierry Mariani, a member of the French National Assembly and co-chairman of the French-Russian Dialogue Association, said.

“The delegation that will go to Crimea tomorrow will be even more numerous than last year’s delegation. Last year, it comprised ten people, and now there will be 11-12 […]. We have asked for some changes in the program that we plan this year; we would like to discuss issues that draw broad debate in Europe, specifically, Tatar and prisoner issues,” Mariani said during a meeting with State Duma Speaker Sergei Naryshkin.

Half of the members of the delegation will be people who visited Crimea last year and the other half will be people who will be visiting the peninsula for the first time, he said.
