KHARKIV - The condition of former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko is worsening, according to her defense lawyer, Serhiy Vlasenko.

"The health of Yulia Volodymyrivna [Tymoshenko] is getting worse. She currently has low blood pressure, and she’s getting no medical treatment, including with respect to issues related to her back," he told reporters near the Kachanivska penal colony in Kharkiv, in which the ex-prime minister is being held.

Vlasenko also noted that so far he had not received the results of a clinical examination that was conducted in Kharkiv Regional Clinical Hospital on Jan.7.

"So far we have not received all of the documents related to an incident that took place [with Tymoshenko] in the early hours of Jan. 7. We have not received the MRI scans, computer tomography, and X-rays, which were taken in Kharkiv Regional Clinical Hospital on Jan. 7, and we have not received the results of blood tests. All of this is being concealed. I have information that doctors at Kharkiv Clinical Hospital are being pressurized by law enforcement agencies and the authorities. [The State Penitentiary Service] is currently exerting pressure on doctors in order to make an attempt to classify the results of Yulia Volodymyrivna’s examination," Vlasenko said.
