Yalta – The European Integration of Ukraine has slowed due to new issues arising between the European Union and Ukraine, but all the problems will be solved after the parliamentary elections, Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has said.

“I believe that after the parliamentary elections, all concerns will be eliminated and Ukraine will proceed to complete its integration with the EU,” he said at the 9th Yalta Annual Meeting on Friday.

According to the president, Ukraine is getting closer to European standards through reforms that have been going on in the country for more than two years.

“We see that this path is good for the Ukrainian people, is good for the state. We are getting closer to European standards,” Yanukovych said.

He also noted the importance of maintaining stability in the relations with the European institutions, which help Ukraine with reform.
