The Ukrainian president's representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Regions Party MP Yuriy Miroshnychenko, has met with Argentine Ambassador to Ukraine Lila Roldan Vazquez de Moine to discuss ways of deepening Ukrainian-Argentine cooperation.

"The participants in the meeting discussed ways of deepening Ukrainian-Argentine inter-parliamentary relations, as well as a wide range of issues of common interest to our countries, in particular, cooperation in the field of international security, agriculture, and tourism," Miroshnychenko’s press service reported on Tuesday.

The ambassador said that visits by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kostiantyn Hryschenko and Ukrainian Parliament Speaker Volodymyr Lytvyn to Argentina were being prepared.

"Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has also been invited to visit our country," she said.

"Yuriy Miroshnychenko proposed deepening bilateral cooperation in the economic and humanitarian spheres, taking into account the potential of both countries, as well as the numerous Ukrainian diaspora in Argentina. The meeting participants agreed to continue working contacts in future," the press service said.
