You're reading: Yanukovych: Laws for creation of Ukrainian-EU free trade zone will be adopted in June

President Viktor Yanukovych promised to adopt in June the legislaion necessary for creation of a free trade zone between Ukraine and the European Union .

"There are plans for the month of June regarding creation of a free trade zone: a whole series of laws that will essentially open the way to adoption of the decision ," Yanukovych said in his interview to Inter, 1+1, and ICTV television channels.

The priority in relations between Ukraine and the European Union, according to Yanukoviych, are the talks on liberalization of visa procedures, the final aim of which is abolition of visas between Ukraine and the European Union

Earlier the European Union has called for acceleration of the work on creating a free trade zone with Ukraine.

Yanukovych expects visas between Ukraine and member-countries of the European Union to be abolished and that a free trade zone will be created by March 2011.
