You're reading: Yanukovych publishes income declaration for 2011

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has made public the declaration of income for 2011, the presidential press service reported.

The declaration was posted on the official Web site of the president as required by law, and within 30 days will be published in an official newspaper.

According to the declaration, in 2011 Yanukovych earned UAH 757,600 of wages, as well as other types of income.

Also, the president received UAH 155,400 of interest on bank deposits.

In addition, in 2011 the Novyy Mir (New World) Printing House paid UAH 16.4 million in royalties to Yanukovych for the transfer of the property rights for the books he wrote in 2005-2010 to the publishing house. From the amount of royalties, Yanukovych paid UAH 2.8 million to the budget as the personal income tax.

According to the declaration, the head of state owns a land plot with an area of 1.7688 hectares in Kyiv region with a house with an area of 619.6 square meters, a 239.4-square-meter apartment in Kyiv and two parking spaces with total area of 39.9 square meters. The maintenance of the president’s assets cost the state UAH 207,500 in 2011.

Last year, the president transferred UAH 120,000 to Mykhailo Zhara’s family-type children’s home.

At the end of 2011, the balance of Yanukovych’s bank accounts was UAH 14.5 million. The president of Ukraine owns securities worth UAH 6,800.
