You're reading: Yanukovych supports initiative to build perinatal center in Zakarpattia region in 2013

Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych supported an initiative to speed up the building of the perinatal center in Zakarpattia region at the meeting with Head of Zakarpattia Regional State Administration Oleksandr Ledida. 

As the president’s press service reported on Wednesday, Ledida said that the state budget foresaw financing for the building of the perinatal center in 2014.

“We would like to make it sooner [building],” he said, stressing that all of the necessary documents have already been collected and a land plot has been allocated. Yanukovych supported the plan to start building the perinatal center in 2013.

Moreover, the president drew attention to the situation with the price on medicine and the work of the emergency medical services in the region. According to head of Zakarpattia region, the restoration of the car fleet will improve the work of ambulances in several regions that are difficult of access. However, on the basis of the first aid centers ambulance crew will be on the constant duty in such regions.

“If a person needs to receive medical aid in the daytime a family doctor will respond, and if it is after 1800 there will be an ambulance service,” he said.
