Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych is planning to participate in a meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council in Astana (Kazakhstan) on May 28-29, a source in the presidential administration told an Interfax-Ukraine reporter.

“Ukraine is interested in the development of economic cooperation with all international organizations, including the Customs Union. It is about effective business cooperation, the creation of new working places for Ukrainians, and trade intensification between Ukraine and the Customs Union members,” the source said.

The Supreme Eurasian Economic Council is the highest regulator of the Common Economic Space (CES) of the Eurasian Economic Community (EurAsEC), which includes the presidents and government heads of the CES member states.
