The Russian side finds it possible to place the Ukrainian gas transport system under the management of a special consortium without changing its ownership structure, Russian Ambassador to Ukraine Mikhail Zurabov has said.

“We find it quite possible to keep the Ukrainian side as the owner of the Ukrainian gas transport system and adopt relevant legislative decisions that would allow to place it under the management of a consortium without changing the form of ownership,” he said to Ukrainian journalists in Kyiv on Wednesday, Feb.27.

He added that given the declarations made earlier the Russian side has compiled relevant documents believing that it should be a two-party consortium.
