You're reading: Cabinet to raise 500 million euro from Germany, $4.2 million from Japan

The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the documents necessary for raising a loan of up to 500 million euro from the German government and a $4.2 million grant from the Japanese government, Minister of the Cabinet Hanna Onischenko has said at a briefing.

According to her, the cabinet at a meeting on March 25 approved the relevant draft memoranda with the governments of Germany and Japan.

Japan is to provide a grant for the purchase of medical equipment and special equipment for the recovery of the eastern Ukraine.

In addition, the Cabinet approved a financial agreement with KFW for 14 million euro, which will be used to maintain nature reserve land.
