The press center for the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine has denied the information that a Ukrainian combat plane was shot down on Sunday, Aug. 3.

“Today, the pro-Russian media have published false reports on the
downing of a combat plane of the Ukrainian Air Force. It’s not true,”
the press center said on Facebook.

“All military planes of the Ukrainian Air Force are in their bases
and they are ready for combat use,” the press center reported.

According to earlier reports from the “headquarters of the militia of
the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic,” a Ukrainian attack
plane was shot down near the town of Yenakiyeve on Sunday. The report
says the militants have found debris from the plane.

“The plane was shot down earlier, in the evening of Aug. 2, but the
militia had no confirmation that special groups only found the downed
plane on Sunday,” the militia headquarters said.

The debris is located between the towns of Makiyivka and Yenakiyeve. There is no information on the pilot.
