Bloomberg Businessweek: VimpelCom quarterly earnings drop as Russia, Ukraine sales fall

VimpelCom Ltd., the phone company whose largest shareholder is billionaire Mikhail Fridman's investment company, reported an 11 percent drop in third-quarter earnings, hurt by slowing demand in Russia and Ukraine.
