The meeting of the trilateral contact group for settling the situation in eastern Ukraine is being held in Minsk on July 31, Belarusian state mass media outlets reported.

According to mass media reports, the parties plan to discuss ensuring safe access of international experts to the Malaysian plane crash site and the process of freeing prisoners of war.

According to mass media information, the contact group is fully represented in Minsk – former Ukrainian President Leonid Kuchma, Russian Ambassador in Kyiv Mikhail Zurabov and official representatives of the OSCE chairperson-in-office for settling the situation in Ukraine Heidi Tagliavini. At the same time, it is not clear from media reports whether representatives of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) are at the meeting.

Non-state and foreign mass media representatives are not allowed to cover the negotiations and the site where the talks are being held.
