You're reading: Donetsk city government reports one civilian killed, eight injured last weekend

One civilian was killed and eight were injured by shrapnel in artillery attacks on Donetsk last weekend, on Nov. 15-16, says a report posted on the City Council's website. 

Homes and infrastructure elements were damaged in the bombardment of the Kyivsky district on Nov. 16.

“The strike destroyed a two-storey house at 11 Hovorova Street. Another house was damaged at 4 Hovorova Street, and a shop at 11a Hovorova Street was wiped out,” the report said.

Hostilities subsided in the city last night and all was quiet as of 10:00. Public utility services continued usual operations, alongside repairs of electricity and gas grids damaged by gunfire.
