People in the Kirovsky, Kyivsky, Kuibyshevsky, Kalininsky and Petrovsky districts of Donetsk have had an uneasy night amid sporadic gunfire and explosions, the Donetsk City Council Web site reported on Tuesday morning, July 22.

As of 9 a.m., many residents said they had heard gunfire and explosions
in the area of the airport and the Zhovtneva Mine compound.

A power outage persists in the Kyivsky and Kuibyshevsky district, as
the Monday attacks cut off power supply to 28 transformer substations,
the City Council said, adding that repairmen were working hard to clean
up the damage.

The Zakdidny bus terminal stays closed for business, and the railroad terminal has reopened.
