Head of Donetsk Regional Administration Serhiy Taruta arrived in Mariupol on Friday afternoon, the posting said.

“Mariupol’s local authorities provided an office for [Donetsk] Regional Administration’s personnel, after which the [Donetsk] governor
held his first working meeting. [Mariupol] Mayor Yuriy Hotlubei briefed
the governor on the current situation in Mariupol, the operation of
municipal companies and budget-related issues,” the posting said.

Taruta stressed the need to develop partnership relations both with European countries and Russia.

As was reported, Poroshenko instructed Taruta to temporarily move
Donetsk Regional Administration to Mariupol, which has been recently
released from illegal armed groups. The governor and his team were
scheduled to start work at the new place on June 13, 2014
