Eight civilians, including a child, have been killed in Luhansk over the past 24 hours, the press service of the Luhansk City Council has reported.

“Reports of the deaths of eight civilians, including a child, have been received,” reads the statement.

Furthermore, 24 buildings, in particular, 20 houses, were destroyed by artillery fire.

In all, 209 ambulance vehicles have been dispatched over the last 24
hours, 52 of them in response to gunshot wounds and injuries (including
those to four children).

Earlier, Luhansk Mayor Serhiy Kravchenko declared three days of
mourning for civilians killed in the fighting. According to him, 17
civilians have been killed over the last few days, and 73 sustained
shrapnel and gunshot wounds.
