A group of eight Ukrainian soldiers was sent to Germany from Kyiv to undergo a course of treatment on Aug. 20.

Ukrainian servicemen were transported by the means of a German helicopter.

German doctors were in Kyiv for a week and chose eight servicemen for further treatment in Germany, Head of the group of German doctors told reports. They chose eight heavily wounded warriors from various regions of Ukraine. Their treatment will be conducted in Berlin and Hamburg.

According to Head of the group of German doctors, the German military hospital is specialized in gunshot wounds, prosthetics, etc.

Deputy Ambassador of Germany to Ukraine said that such practice of providing medical assistance would continue.

Deputy Defense Minister of Ukraine Petro Mekhed said that a total of 36 Ukrainian’s had been treated in Germany, eleven of whom are still being treated. A total of 121 servicemen were treated abroad, 81 of whom came back, and 30 are still in hospitals.

In addition, on Aug. 20, 8 soldiers were sent to be treated in Georgia.
