68 Ukrainian servicemen and 51 civilians have been killed and 428 servicemen have been wounded during a truce in the area of the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine since Sept. 5, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has reported.

“Since Sept. 5, terrorists have violated the ceasefire regime on more than 1,400 occasions, 68 Ukrainian servicemen have been killed, 428 injured, and 51 civilians have been killed,” the ministry reported on Twitter on Oct. 15 evening.

Former Ukrainian Defense Minister and newly appointed Head of the State Guard Department Valeriy Heletei, in turn, told the Ukraina television channel that over 60 servicemen of the Ukrainian Armed Forces had been killed during the truce and that 891 Ukrainian military had been killed since the beginning of the anti-terrorist operation.

He also noted that some Russian troops were being withdrawn from eastern Ukraine, but other troops were arriving. “A rotation is going on,” he said.
