Four Ukrainian servicemen have been killed and 35 more injured in the area of the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) in eastern Ukraine over the last 24 hours, National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) spokesman Andriy Lysenko has said.

“The losses amounted to four servicemen. One of them is National
Guard Colonel Oleksandr Radiyevsky,” he said at a briefing on Thursday, July 24.

He said that 35 ATO servicemen had been wounded.

Lysenko also said that over the last 24 hours militants had fired at
the roadblocks of the Ukrainian government forces about 20 times.

He also said that members of illegal armed groups, some of whom are
Russian citizens, had used an ambulance to break through the roadblocks
of the ATO forces.

“Ukrainian National Guard servicemen detained the vehicle in which,
under the guise of an ambulance, five terrorists tried to break into
Marynivka in Donetsk region,” Lysenko said.

He said that a Russian citizen was in the vehicle. Kalashnikov
machine-guns, and F-1 and RGD grenades were seized during the detention
of terrorists.

”The detainees are currently being interrogated,” Lysenko said.
