Moscow - The State Duma does not rule out the possibility that a law on the inclusion of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol ion Russia may be passed this week.

“I don’t think we can do it tomorrow. I think we will pass it on Friday, at the beginning of next week at the latest,” Ivan Melnikov, first deputy speaker of the State Duma and first deputy chairman of the Central Committee of the Russian Communist Party, said.

“We will not delay it,” he said.

On Tuesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin said a constitutional law on the inclusion in Russia of two new regions, the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, had been submitted to the Federal Assembly.
