Residents of the left bank of Mariupol and the village of Sartana have said that an explosion occurred in the area shortly after 10:00, the 0629 local website reported.
“The blast was so powerful that plaster fell from the ceiling in houses in Sartana. An OSCE [Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe] mission is working at the scene,” it said.
The anti-terrorist operation’s press center told the 0629 website that mine-clearing efforts had been under way since early morning, and the explosion might have taken place during work by engineers.
