The town of Maryinka near Donetsk has been relatively quiet since Wednesday evening, Michael Bociurkiw, spokesperson for the. OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine (OSCE SMM), said at a press briefing on June 4.

In his words, OSCE SMM monitors observed the use of heavy weapons in Maryinka in the period from the afternoon of June 2 till the afternoon of June 3. The firing was very intense, and the monitors saw or heard several hundreds of shots. The town was relatively quiet in the evening, and the monitors asked the sides to keep it calm and to pull back their weapons.
